For all romantic scale freaks Proctor developed the
Curtiss
Jenny
. Everything is with this kit but methanol and fabric. It took
more than 1500 hours to finish the design and the design for the
manufacturing tools. In addition another 2500 hours were spent
to test the prototype.
All parts forming a sub-assembly are packed in one bag. You
will find all fairings pre-shaped, 60 (sixty) turnbuckles incl.
the rigging wires and a scale dummy of the OX-5 engine.
For the kit as usual
with Proctor they have used only selected woods und veneers.
Wing tips and leading edges from the empennage are pre- bent and
ready to be installed.
To cut rigging time at the field the upper and lower wing of
each side (LH and RH) will be left fully rigged up. They may be
installed / disassembled to the cabane and fuselage as they are
without any further disassembly.
The flight performance may be described as: Do not pick up
flowers during flight. Low and very …very slow approaches are
one of
Jenny’s
favourites but she likes to do turns also. When you do low and
slow approaches you will foe sure remember the time of the
golden twenties and the legendary Wing Walkers.
